Another top and extra cuteness
julio 24, 2010

I finished my test knit for July, a lovely, cool a

nd refreshing cotton top with a back lace panel designed by Melinda VerMeer. It has not yet been published, but it should be a big hit once it is! I also tested a little doily, supercute

Black Summer

Yarn: COTONE, a 100% dk cotton non-brand yarn distributed by El Corte Inglés.
Needles: Denise Interchangeable Knitting Needles size 3.75mm for the top and 3.5mm PONY dpns for the i-cord
Pattern: test knit for Melinda VerMeer, pattern not yet published
Mods: I shortened lenght a bit – I like my t-shirts short!
Comments: cute, flattering and fresh tank top, perfect for the summer. it knits up faster than you may think, even though it’s dk weight! the almost contant increases & decreases avoid being bored, and the lace back panel gives a bit of extra sass. I may do another one for next summer!

Kurenai Rondeau

Yarn: nº5 crochet thread, 100% egyptian cotton
Needles: 3.5mm PONY metal dpns for the doily, 4.5mm PONY metal dpns for bind off
Pattern: test knit for Linda Browning, pattern not yet published
Mods: none. it’s a test knit, so it was knitted as said
Comments: I need a stretchier bind off… oh, the woes of being a tight knitter!!

I’m currently working on the endless stockinette of Adrift, and on a lovely Pogona. Once my Pogonito is finished, I will be casting on for my last obsession: Annis. I’ll be using a skein of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock Multi in the limited Eclipse colorway, and opaque iris 6/0 seed beads. Can’t wait to see how it knits up!!
